Housebuilder Bellway has donated £500 to Cheshire-based charity Changing Lives Together.

With a new community forming at its Rose Meadow development on London Road in Northwich, Bellway was keen to make a donation that would benefit the local area and support the charity as it moves into one of its busiest periods.

Passionate about making a difference in the community and an impact on the wider environment, Changing Lives Together delivers innovative solutions for social and environmental challenges to improve the lives of local people.

Based in both Northwich and Winsford, and working across the whole of Cheshire, it delivers a wide range of services including high quality, low-cost community groceries, cafes, retail and re-use stores and surplus food redistribution.

It also provides family support in collaboration with schools, emergency aid for those struggling to establish home and community transport for those affected by disability, incapacity or age, wellbeing services and opportunities for training, volunteering, skill development and employment.

Changing Lives Together will use the cash to help with the running costs for Very Green Grocery in Northwich which is especially busy collecting, storing and distributing food at this expensive time of year.

Head of retail and grocery at Changing Lives Together, John O’Reilly, commented: “We would like to thank the Bellway team for its kind donation which will be put to good use at our Northwich grocery store in the run-up to Christmas. The festive season is particularly busy at both of our grocery stores as we aim to support as many local families as possible feeling the pressure at this time.”

Sales director at Bellway, Jenny Bell, added: “When we learned about the incredible range of community services delivered across Cheshire by Changing Lives Together, we knew that we wanted one of our seasonal donations to go towards these valuable services that touch the lives of so many.”

Rose Meadow is a beautiful development of three, four and five bedroom homes perfectly located close to the vibrant market town of Northwich and offering easy access to the stunning Cheshire countryside. Prices start from £316,995.  For further information, please call 01606 369190, pop to the development and speak to the sales advisor or visit www.bellway.co.uk.
