Three men and a scaffolder join up to host North West Oktoberfest

Four entrepreneurs from Liverpool have joined together to put on one of the North West’s biggest Oktoberfest events.

Three friends in the hospitality industry and a scaffolder came up with the idea for the event which is returning to the city’s waterfront Exhibition Centre following a successful indoor debut last year.

Led by leisure pioneer Paul Laing, the team behind Oktoberfest Liverpool is Darren Gilligan, who runs Brewery Bus Tours, Kevin McArthur from Handyman Brewery and Intelligent Scaffold director David King.

Paul Laing from Oktoberfest Liverpool said:

“We’ve all run our own businesses for many years and wanted to pool together our expertise.

“Oktoberfest Liverpool gives us the perfect opportunity to use our experiences to put on a festival which we hope will become a permanent fixture in the calendar of must-do events in the city.

“This year’s celebration of Bavarian culture features more live entertainment, one of the biggest bars and a themed funhouse making it a proper day or night out.

“So, dust off your lederhosen and join in the fun.”

Sessions take place on Saturday 19th October 12pm-5pm; 6pm-11pm and Sunday 20th October 12pm-6pm with super-early bird tickets priced at £12.50 (not including booking fee) The huts are available for up to eight people and cost £480 with all tickets available at https://www.ticketquarter.co.uk
