Alcedo Care opens second office in Cumbria
Fast-growing, independently-owned and family run home care provider Alcedo Care has further expanded in Cumbria with the opening of a new office on Morecambe Road in Ulverston.
Signalling an investment of circa £225,000 and creating approximately 100 local jobs, Alcedo’s new office in Ulverston is the second branch for the company in Cumbria, the first opened in Kendal just over 12 months ago.
With an increasing presence now in Cumbria, Alcedo Care can provide up to 2,000 hours of care per week from the new office for individuals looking to remain in the comfort of their own homes.
The new branch, headed up by registered manager Victoria Leecy (also registered manager of the Kendal branch), will look to secure additional clients across Cumbria, offering an outstanding portfolio of home care services including personal care, nursing, nurse-led complex care, plus support and companionship. Alcedo also provides live-in care and children’s complex care services.
Managing director of Alcedo Care Group, Andy Boardman, says: “Just over 12 months ago we opened our Kendal branch which has been hugely successful. Demand for home care continues to soar in the region, so we decided to strategically open a second branch in Ulverston to cater for additional clients across Cumbria.”
Supporting Victoria is Abigail Capstick, who is the care manager for the Ulverston branch. She says: “It’s great news that we have opened a second branch in Cumbria, allowing us the opportunity to expand across the region reaching more clients in need of our services.”
Victoria Leecy adds: “The last year has been incredible in Kendal and to be able to enhance our presence in the region so quickly is a testament to the desire for home care from those wishing to remain in their own homes but in need of personal care, support and companionship as well as nursing and more complex medical requirements. I am looking forward to managing the two branches, securing new clients and strengthening Alcedo’s reputation in Cumbria.”
