Can you help the nation deliver this Christmas? Hundreds of people are being invited to apply for seasonal delivery roles across the UK
Hundreds of drivers are being recruited to help make sure the UK delivers this Christmas – and the good news is, you don’t need a HGV licence to be one of them.
Multi-drop delivery drivers with standard UK or EU driving licences are being sought to help prevent Christmas 2023 turning into a festive failure for consumers living in all four corners of the UK.
Acorn by Synergie has been tasked with filling over 300 temporary delivery driver positions working with major distributors in locations spanning England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Roles are currently available in Bathgate, Bristol, Belfast, Exeter, Fareham, Redruth, Swindon, Swansea, Newport, Plymouth and more.
Nearly two thirds of businesses based in the UK reported seeing an increase in demand for delivery services during the months leading up to Christmas last year*, with many preparing themselves for similar levels in 2023.
Those in a position to help keep Britain moving this winter can expect enhanced rates of pay, a competitive performance bonus and a regular work pattern, with immediate starts running into 2024 in return.
Anyone over the age of 18 with a standard UK or EU driving licence and no more than six points is eligible to apply for one of 300 driving roles available through Acorn by Synergie.
Bernard Ward, MD at Acorn Recruitment, said: “It’s no secret that the habits we adopted during the Covid-19 pandemic have changed the way we shop forever as a nation, and across the world. What this means in practice is a host of new opportunities for anyone looking to boost their earnings this Christmas, for whatever reason.
“As key UK recruiters, we continue to work hard to support the efforts of larger scale delivery systems with ground level solutions, and together we will make sure the UK delivers in all corners of the country this Christmas.”
Bernard explained: “This is a great opportunity for many to earn some money at a key time financially in the year, while for others it could act as a suitable precursor to a longer term career in the delivery sector itself.
“Either way, applying for one of these driving roles is also going to mean putting a smile on the faces of expectant householders in all four corners of the UK this Christmas – and what could bring greater job satisfaction than that?”
