Etsy Business Strikes Huge Success With Transition From Online Store To Physical Shop In Ellesmere Port
AN ELLESMERE PORT business owner has reflected on the past two years successfully transitioning from online store to physical shop front.
Based opposite the Holiday Inn and Waterways Leisure Club on Raddle Wharf, My Wobble Box has officially opened up shop as business owner Laura Baldwin looks to build on momentum.
Founded back in February 2020, My Wobble Box has been offering customers a collection of fantastic caravan-based products – a theme which takes inspiration from Laura’s grandparents.
“It’s been a whirlwind of a journey so far,” says Laura. “When I first began, I didn’t think my humble little business would grow as quickly as it has done – especially during the pandemic! But here I am now, running a business out of my very own store in a lovely little area of my own!
“I initially sold my products through Etsy and craft fairs, finding success with a range of bespoke mugs, small gifts and trinkets. But over the past year, it’s suddenly grown to much more than that – for example, we’ve been approached by influencers, become official VW partners, had a pop-up store in John Lewis, worked closely on a campaign with Sainsbury’s, and our rainbow blanket was even featured on This Morning – an absolutely surreal moment for me! Taking the step into running my own store was incredibly scary, but I can’t wait to see where we go next.”
Located on the banks of the iconic River Mersey, the My Wobble Box shop is located where the Northern end of the Shropshire Union Canal meets up with the Manchester Union Canal.
Laura said: “Scenes for Peaky Blinders were shot just around the corner at the National Waterways Museum! It’s incredibly beautiful and even home to a host of stunning swans!
