LightSpeed ahead for new gigabit broadband start-up

ISP challenger LightSpeed Broadband has launched a new transactional platform, allowing customers to sign up for its full-fibre gigabit broadband services.

The site, https://www.lightspeed.co.uk/, has been created by digital partner Code Computerlove, who will support LightSpeed’s ambition to bring full fibre gigabit broadband to one million homes and businesses in the East of England by 2025.

LightSpeed appointed the Manchester-based product studio in April, and Code has since created a digital infrastructure and strategy, alongside a new digital identity and marketing website so customers can find out more about their 1 Gigabit plan, check availability and register interest or place an order for the LightSpeed service.

The new digital identity has a fun and fresh approach; it benefits from straight-talking messaging to reflect the heart of the business and its core purpose and values.

Rob Jones, Managing Director at Code Computerlove, said:

“The whole premise behind LightSpeed Broadband is speed of use and an excellent customer experience, which is exactly what we’ve delivered in the new digital platform.

“The bespoke user journey ensures customers can get the information they’re after with ease, whether that’s finding out if Gigabit Broadband is available in their area, signing up and purchasing broadband or managing their account.

“Through close collaboration with Cloud Jungle and Gravitai, we were able to leverage the existing SalesForce Solution through new APIs that were used in our C#, React solution.

“LightSpeed is a brilliant brand to work with, with a team that shares our ambition to put the customer at the heart of everything. We will be taking insights from this initial launch to continue to evolve the site’s capabilities and experiences.”

Steve Haines, CEO of LightSpeed Broadband, said:

“Having a first-rate ecommerce site to support our fast-paced growth plans is a hugely important element of our business and Code has definitely delivered on this.

“They’ve worked closely with us and involved stakeholders throughout the process, ensuring our internal processes marry up with the site’s capabilities. From the discovery and design sprint stages, through to user testing and implementation we’ve felt close to the process and confident in our platform roll out.

“We’re really excited to see the new site go live and to be able to start welcoming our first customers to LightSpeed with a slick digital journey is a great milestone for us.”
