Bridge Law bolsters growth in Yorkshire team following third anniversary in the region
Bridge Law Solicitors Ltd’s Holmfirth team has had an exciting summer with two new hires, a team member promotion and new premises to support their ongoing growth. Enhancing their already comprehensive range of services, the expansion has happened just in time to celebrate their third anniversary since launching a team in the Yorkshire region.
This comes after an overall positive year for the firm, whose head office in Marple Bridge, Greater Manchester has also seen their team expand to support a surge in new cases over the past six months.
Carol-Anne Baker, Bridge Law’s Holmfirth office manager and consultant solicitor for the firm, who specialises in Family Law, Wills and Probate commented: “Since launching Holmfirth in August 2018, we’ve quickly established a presence in the local community. We initially launched this office primarily offering Family, Wills and Probate work, however, we’ve recently seen an increasing number of enquiries for all different types of legal cases.
“Our Marple Bridge office has a number of specialists covering a range of different areas including landlord and tenant and dispute resolution. The increase in enquiries for these practice areas meant we needed to establish a landlord and tenant and litigation team based at our Holmfirth office too, to meet increasing demand.”
The firm’s Holmfirth team, who outgrew their offices at Daisy Lane have now moved to a prime high-street location on Huddersfield Road, Holmfirth. The larger premises will support their continued growth after welcoming two new team members, Jonathan Cass a specialist Commercial Property and Litigation Solicitor and Mollie-May James, Bridge Law’s new Legal Assistant.
Jonathan Cass, Commercial Property and Litigation Solicitor added: “I’m delighted to have joined Bridge Law’s Holmfirth team at such an exciting time and I look forward to helping grow the firm’s commercial and property litigation team in the Yorkshire region. After working in large city-centre firms, it’s lovely to now be able to work in a close-knit community like Holmfirth”.
As well as focusing on growing their team, Bridge Law are dedicated to supporting employees of all levels to pursue their personal career goals. Lucy Butler, who joined the Holmfirth team in 2019 as a Legal Assistant following a number of years working in restaurant management has just gone back to uni to study a Law degree part-time at the University of Law Leeds, whilst working in her new role at the firm as a Paralegal.
Lucy added: “It’s really great to be working at a firm that is not only passionate about helping clients but also about helping their team develop their careers. As someone with a journalism degree that worked in restaurant management for a number of years previously, I was worried it would be difficult to find a firm that would offer opportunities to retrain as I know how competitive legal positions are. From the offset, Bridge Law recognised I was dedicated to developing my career and have provided opportunities for me to learn and progress, supporting my decision to go back to university.”
Aspiring to become a Family Law Solicitor in future, Lucy’s promotion to Paralegal means she will now be able to gain valuable experience whilst supporting the small but busy Family Law team in Holmfirth – which Bridge Law hopes to expand further in the near future.
